Metro Bus is holding a public hearing tomorrow evening to get feedback on a proposed fare increase. It will be held in the St. Cloud City Council Chambers starting at 6:00 p.m.

Metro Bus wants your input on proposed changes to its Dial-A-Ride program. They are holding four public input sessions in the next two weeks to gather feedback.

Metro Bus will be running a reduced schedule for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Both Metro Bus fixed route and Dial-A-Ride will be closed tomorrow for Thanksgiving, on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

More people rode the Metro Bus this year than in 2010, but only slightly more. The fiscal year ended in September and the year-end report shows 872 more people rode the fixed route service than the year before. But, St. Cloud Metropolitan Transit Commission spokesman Tom Cruikshank says the numbers may have been bigger had it not been a tough construction year.

Metro Bus is making some changes to its Dial-A-Ride service. A series of public meetings were held to gather input on changing the boundaries to contain the growth while meeting the service demands. These changes go into effect Friday and adjust the boundaries of the extended service area.
