St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis talked with Governor Mark Dayton live on WJON this (Friday) morning on his weekly radio show. They talked about money for a bonding bill, Local Government Aid, extending the Northstar Commuter Rail line, and an offer for Kleis to head-up a new commission.

St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis is bringing back the "Student Advisory Board". The board will serve in an advisory role to the mayor on a variety of issues that affect both the student population and the city.

City leaders from across the state are bracing for what's expected to be cuts to Local Government Aid. In fact, the Minnesota House of Representatives passed the bill yesterday (Thursday) 68-63 that eliminate about $1-billion from the state budget deficit. The Senate is expected to take up their version of the fill next week.
