A big piece in the construction of the proposed Sartell Community Center has been resolved. During this (Monday) evening's city council meeting, the council approved a land swap agreement for the community center site.
The pursuit of a Great River Regional Library branch in Sartell has come to a standstill, at least for the immediate future. Talks between the Sartell City Council and the Great River Regional Library board have not been going as hoped as plans for the proposed community center began to take shape.
A peaceful rally was held this (Monday) evening in support of a library coming to Sartell. Members of the Sartell Friends of the Library and local residents stood outside of city hall showing their support of a Great River Regional Library branch.
Plans for the future Sartell Community Center continued to be discussed among city officials. During this (Monday) evenings city council meeting, the board looked at what amenities they want to bring in and cost estimates to build the facility.
We now have a better understanding on where the proposed Sartell Community Center may be built. During tonight's (Monday) city council meeting eight potential sites were brought before the council for discussion.
