College of St. Benedict

Stanley Idzerda,president emeritus of the College of Saint Benedict, died on today (Tuesday) at the age of 93. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, in the Sacred Heart Chapel at Saint Benedict's Monastery in St. Joseph.

The College of St. Benedict is hosting a free picnic this (Thursday) evening in honor of their Centennial. They'll be serving brats, chips and lemonade on the lawn from 6:30 until 7:15 p.m.

Over 1000 bicyclists from over 150 different cities gathered at the College of St. Benedict to ride in the 33rd Annual Tour of Saints.

About 1,400 women who used to call St. Joseph - and the College of St. Benedict - home are coming back to campus this weekend. The college is celebrating it's 100th anniversary with it's first-ever all school reunion.

Governor Mark Dayton defended his budget proposal at a public forum last (Wednesday) night. The governor said we have, "a rare opportunity to lead," in front of a large crowd at the College of St. Benedict. Dayton covered a range of issues that include taxes, marriage equality and gun control.
