Authorities arrested two people and took more than two-thousand tablets of the drug ecstasy off the street after a drug bust in Waite Park this morning. Members of the Central Minnesota Drug and Gang Task Force used a search warrant to make the bust.

The Central Minnesota Drug and Gang Task Force and the Stearns/Benton SERT Team used a search warrant at 43rd Street Southeast in Melrose. The three people arrested were 45-year-old Ross Rittgers and 45-year-old Janell Rittgers of Melrose, and 31-year-old Leslie Umpleby of St. Paul.

A 35-year-old Champlin man was arrested in St. Cloud for allegedly selling drugs. The Central Minnesota Drug and Gang Task Force completed a control buy from Jeremy Hoover at about 3:00 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday) near the intersection of Highway 15 and 2nd Street South in St. Cloud.

Investigators arrested 40-year-old Timothy Brown of Sartell on alleged drug charges. They found four grams of methamphetamine, 1 1/2 ounces of mushrooms, along with marijuana and prescription pills.

Authorities arrested two people from Waite Park after a search warrant uncovered drugs, cash and a stolen gun. Investigators from the Central Minnesota Drug and Gang Task Force searched a home at 1103 2nd Street north in Waite Park Friday and arrested the man and woman.

A man wanted in a 2007 stabbing incident in Clay County has been arrested in St. Cloud. The Central Minnesota Drug and Gang Task Force spotted 30-year-old Terrance Jones in a vehicle Wednesday in the area of McKinley Place and 8th Street South. Police say Jones -- who a member of the Gangster Disciples gang -- tried to flee in his vehicle.
