Stanley Wallace Houle ("Stan"), 60 of St. Cloud, Minnesota, passed from this world on July 2, 2015 at the St. Cloud Hospital from complications of cancer surgery and myotonic dystrophy. He leaves behind his daughter Wendy, son-in-law Nathan and their soon-to-be-born daughter; his father and step-mother Wally and Anne Houle of Clearwater; his brother Steve Houle of Clearwater and his brother and best friend Joel Houle of St. Cloud as well as many relatives and other friends.

Stan was born in Little Falls, MN on October 22, 1954 to Wally and Dorothy (Nordell) Houle. Dorothy preceded him in death in 2001. His daughter Wendy has been the light of his life and he raised her into a wonderful young woman as a single father. Stan was active in Wendy's life from attending school concerts and soccer games, volunteering at Monticello Elementary and Middle School in a variety of ways and supporting her as a loving and caring dad. He was a generous person who shared his life with others and kept a positive outlook through many trials and struggles. He graduated from Annandale High School, served in the United States Air Force and for the last decade has worked at Wacosa in St. Cloud.

The family will be forever indebted to Bob and Dani Rudolph of St. Cloud as well as Sylvia and Wayne Rudolph who have been his caregivers for the last ten years. Stan made his home in St. Cloud with Bob and Dani and their children along with friends/housemates Harold, Josh and Doug. Stan enjoyed board games, videos, music, collecting mechanical banks and his family.

The funeral service will be held at the Clearwater United Methodist Church, 405 Main Street, Clearwater on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11:00am. Visitation will be 9:30-11:00 prior to the service. He will be buried at Acacia Cemetery, Clearwater following the service. Memorials may be sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 7401 Metro Blvd. #300, Minneapolis, MN 55439 in Stan's name or a charity of the donor's choice. Daniel Funeral Home, Clearwater, is in charge of the arrangements.
