ST. CLOUD -- A St. Cloud Tech High School student has been selected to perform in the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America.

Junior, Arjun Ganguly plays the viola and will be among 120 other youth ages 16 through 19 from across the country to be included in the group.

Carnegie Hall says the young musicians are among the finest in the country.

Students will attend a two-week training camp at Purchase College, State University of New York before going on tour. The camp will be advised by The Juilliard School associate director, James Ross.

It is the first-ever National Youth Orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev. The musicians are scheduled to perform this summer in places like New York and Washington D.C. before going on an international tour to London and Moscow among other countries.

The program will include pieces like Violin Concerto and Symphony No. 10 in E Minor.
