ST. CLOUD – A story making national headlines this week caught the attention of a retired Catholic priest in St. Cloud. Barbara Johnson was refused Communion at her mother’s funeral in Washington, D.C. last Saturday, because she’s a lesbian.

Fehrenbacher says Priests should never deny anyone Communion for any reason. The Archdiocese of D.C. has said that the denial is against the church’s policy.
At 91-years-old, Fehrenbacher is a retired Priest in the St. Cloud Diocese. He spent most of his career at churches in New York City.
