St. Cloud Man Charged For Allegedly Putting His Finger In Child’s Mouth

ST. CLOUD - A St. Cloud man who is accused of putting his finger in the mouth of a three-year-old girl has made his first court appearance.

Sixty-six-year-old Lawrence Danzl has been charged in Stearns County Court with one count of Stalking a Victim Under 18, and one count of Indecenet Exposure.

The incident happened at about 11:20 a.m. on Friday at the St. Cloud Public Library.

The mother of the girl says her daughter was approached by Danzl, who said he wanted to put his finger in her mouth, then immediately did it. The mother took the girl to a different area of the library. She was again approached by Danzl who asked the girl if she wanted to go home with him.

Officers also say Danzl had offered money to other kids at the library that morning. Court documents say Danzl told officers he had sexual thoughts about children. He also acknowledged offering money to two other kids.
