St. Cloud Apollo To Form An Alumni Association

ST. CLOUD -- Are you a graduate of St. Cloud Apollo? If so, your Alma mater wants your input.

St. Cloud Apollo is in the process of forming an Alumni Association. Organizer Peter Hamerlinck says the idea came from the success the St. Cloud Tech Alumni Association has had over the years.

"When I was on the school board I saw the effectiveness of the Alumni Association at St. Cloud Tech and thought why doesn't Apollo have this," says Hamerlinck.

The meetings focus will be to form a mission statement, establish goals and vote on a leadership committee.

Hamerlinck says he hopes to get Apollo graduates more involved with their Alma mater and provide current students resources after graduation.

"Having Apollo graduates who are available to speak with current students or have students shadow them at work or even have alumni come in and talk about their experience. Those are just some of the goals I'd like to reach," says Hamerlinck.

The association will hold their first meeting next Wednesday (March, 1st) in the Apollo Auditorium starting at 7:00 p.m. All Apollo alumni are encouraged to attend.

If you can't attend the first meeting, future meeting dates will be posted on the school district's website.
