Severe Storms Possible as Central Minnesota Endures Another Day of Tropical Heat

The heat and mugginess continues across Minnesota.  Excessive heat warnings continue through Wednesday with hot days and warm nights.

And that brings the risk of strong to severe thunderstorms, as well.

Because the stagnant weather pattern over Minnesota is so moisture rich, storms will likely bring torrential downpours and cause flooding in low-lying areas.

Some of the storms may reach severe levels, especially Sunday afternoon and evening.
