SCSU Men’s Hockey Players Score Big With Their Long Hair [AUDIO,VIDEO]

ST. CLOUD – Players from the St. Cloud State Men’s Hockey team are scoring points for a different reason.
Six players are growing out their hair for Locks of Love.
The idea began with centerman, Nic Dowd, when he realized his hair was getting a little long. He decided to keep growing it for cancer patients.
Dowd inspired five other teammates to join him, including centerman, David Morely.
Morley says the coaches weren’t exactly on board in the beginning, but have warmed up to the idea.

Morley and Dowd still have a few inches left to grow before they meet the ten inch requirement set by Locks of Love.
Both players hope to donate their hair together with the other four players, Nick Jensen, Ben Hanowski, Tim Daly, and Cory Thorson. WJON will continue to follow this story and keep you updated.
