ST. CLOUD — We first introduced you to St. Cloud State University baseball player Kent Koch here on WJON last Wednesday.  And now the whole country is getting to know him too.

Koch is a senior 2nd baseman and captain for the Huskies this spring.  He was also sworn-in as the mayor of his hometown of Loretto last (Tuesday) night.

This morning he was featured live on a segment on ESPN.

Koch says the next five months will be challenging as he balances baseball and his duties as mayor, but after the season is done he’ll give Loretto his full attention.
