SARTELL -- Sartell officials are asking for your feedback on their 2016 comprehensive plan.

The city's comprehensive plan has not been updated since 2003 and are seeking a fresh look in the city's development issues.

Planning and Community Development Director Anita Rasmussen says the virtual open house in an important process in shaping the future of Sartell.

"It's a fun and exciting time to reevaluate what we want Sartell to look like in the next 20-30 years," says Rasmussen.

Rasmussen says areas like the Hub on 15, the Sartell Epic Center (Sam's Club/Walmart area) and more were proposals from the 2003 Comprehensive Plan that have come to fruition.

"We've done a lot of other things and goals we have met from our 2003 Comprehensive Plan, so we have come a long way," says Rasmussen.

The online survey will be available on the city's website through February 19th.

Rasmussen says a public hearing on the new Comprehensive Plan could be brought before the Planning Commission in April. If approved it would then move to the City Council.
