After investing nearly seven-million dollars in infrastructure for a 300 acre development, the City of Avon is finally seeing good progress at Avon Estates.
Discussions continue on how to best redevelop the former Sartell paper mill site. Over the summer the council approved a one-year moratorium of any new development on the site and a task force was designed to help evaluate potential uses for the property.
Waite Park officials will consider putting a moratorium on their commercial district during tonight's city council meeting. The moratorium would halt any new construction along Highways 23, from the new Luther Honda location to just before Division Street, for the next six to eight months.
