Royals Rout Twins 11-2

The Twins have lost 5 games in a row after falling 11-2 at Kansas City Saturday night. The game was tied at 2 when the Royals scored 1 run in the 7th inning and added 8 more in the 8th. The Twins managed only 3 hits in the game and Jason Kubel had 2 of them. Brian Duensing allowed 3 runs in 7 innings and takes the loss and drops to 2-1. The bullpen allowed 8 runs in the 8th inning but only 2 of them were earned due to 2 errors. Minnesota falls to 9-17 and 9 games back of Cleveland for first place in the AL Central. The Twins close the 3-game series at Kansas City today at 1:10, pregame on WJON at 12:40. Righthander Carl Pavano will pitch for the Twins and righthander Luke Hochevar gets the ball for the Royals.
