ROCKVILLE - Helping local businesses and attracting new ones is taking top priority in Rockville.

The Rockville City Council and Mayor Duane Willenbring are looking to fill three open positions in the city's Economic Development Agency. The goals for the Rockville EDA is to help local businesses grow and bring new businesses into town.

In 2011 the EDA started a revolving loan fund program but due to the decline of the economy it was rarely used. The program was started to help businesses come up with extra money in the form of a loan from the city.

Willenbring says even though the community is small, it's a growing town and is willing to accept new business with open arms.

"We want to extend an olive branch and let them know we are ready to do business. Just share your vision with us and see how we can help you."
