ST. PAUL – Supporters of a racino are raising their hand, offering to help solve the state’s budget deficit.

Spokesman Dick Day was on WJON with Bob Hughes this (Wednesday) morning.  He says a racino at Canterbury Park and Running Aces could generate $200 to $250 million every two years, plus they could add new jobs to the economy.

Day says there are 18 casinos in the state already.

The idea of expanded gambling did not get much traction during the regular session of the state legislature this year.
