Purves Todd, 83, St. Cloud

January 21, 1932 - December 26, 2015

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, December 31st at 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Purves Todd, age 83, of St. Cloud, who died peacefully on Saturday at his home. Rev LeRoy Scheierl will officiate. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call on Wednesday between 4:00-7:00 PM at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud, and on Thursday after 10:00 AM at the Church. Parish Prayers will be at 6:00 PM.

Purves was born January 21st, 1932 in Winona to Purves and Winifred (Henderson) Todd. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Purves married Theresa Speltz on April 7th, 1956 in Rollingstone, MN. He was employed by Trane Co. in Lacrosse, Wisconsin, and later Cornelius Co. in Anoka and Dezurik Co. in Sartell. Purves retired in 1994.

Purves was a faithful member of St. Peters Catholic Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping. Above all else, his greatest joy was his grandchildren, whom he was always there for.

Survivors include his wife Theresa, children, Steve Todd (Therese) St. Cloud, Dan Todd, (Julie) St. Cloud, Julie Kiecker (Dana) Eagan, and Nancy Stellmach (Jim) Sartell, grandchildren, Patrick, Ben, Nicole, and Jena Todd, Paige and Mitchell Kiecker, and Andrew (Stephanie) and Ryan Stellmach, sister, Yvonne Wantock (Richard) Winona.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
