Police Link Allegedly Suicidal Man to Gas Station Burglary

Aaron Braun, Stearns Co. Jail

ST. CLOUD — A reportedly suicidal man, hospitalized on Wednesday, is now being investigated in connection with a gas station burglary.

Police say a search of a room at the Motel 6 in Waite Park turned up evidence linking 20 year old Aaron Braun of St. Cloud to a December 27th burglary of the Super America on 32nd Avenue in St. Cloud.

Authorities were called to the motel on Wednesday after a family member of Braun’s reported the man was threatening to harm himself.

The investigation blocked streets in the area for a short time before police got Braun out of his room and brought him to St. Cloud Hospital.

When authorities searched the room and Braun’s car, they discovered evidence connecting Braun to the break-in.

He’s being held at the Stearns County Jail on charges of 3rd degree Burglary and Receiving Stolen Property.
