Sartell Hockey Slugs Willmar, Apollo Shut Out- High School Scoreboard

Alexandria maintained a stranglehold in Section 6A by defeating St. Cloud Tech 4-1, while Apollo fell 2-0 at home to Fergus Falls. The Otters jump ahead of St. Cloud Apollo in 6A with the win, holding second place by .7 QRF points. Sartell remains in fourth place in the section, followed by Cathedral. The Crusaders were shut out 3-0 at Little Falls Tuesday night.

Police and the local school district are warning parents of a possible child abduction attempt in Burnsville. A police report says a 6-year-old girl was standing at her school bus stop Tuesday morning when she was approached by a man in a silver compact car with white letters on the passenger side.

Officials Close Minneapolis Southwest High School Over ‘Credible Threat’

A high school in Minneapolis will be closed Wednesday after officials say they received a credible threat. Principal Bill Smith said Tuesday night in a notification to the Southwest High School community that officials decided to close the following day to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Formed in 1968, the St. Cloud Area Singing Saints Barbershop Chorus has become well known in the area, featuring their booming and stunning sound at local events. Club president Tom Veitch says the sound is also unique in that it features no band or background music.
