Sartell Considers Land Purchase Near Sauk River Regional Park

Sartell officials are considering to acquire some land near the Sauk River Regional Park. The city is looking at purchasing roughly 5 acres adjacent to the current park boundary at County Road 136 and County Road 120.

112 Immigrants Live Out Their Dream, Swear In As United States Citizens [VIDEO]

A dream many immigrants chase for was achieved this (Wednesday) morning at the River's Edge Convention Center. A Naturalization Ceremony, presented by the U.S. District Court, swore in 112 individuals from 28 countries to make them full legal citizens.

Banaian: Job Growth Slowed by Higher Minimum Wage

Minnesota's minimum wage goes up by a buck to $9 an hour on Saturday. It was a year ago on August 1st that the state's minimum wage was raised to $8 an hour. King Banaian is the Dean of the School of Public Affairs at St. Cloud State University.

Police are monitoring the office of a suburban Minneapolis dentist who has come under fire for killing a protected lion in Zimbabwe. Bloomington Deputy Police Chief Mike Hartley says his department is putting plans together to manage any protests Wednesday at Walter Palmer's dental office.

Pilot Giving Visitors a Ride when Fatal Plane Crash Happened

A family friend says two teenagers from Mexico who were killed, along with the pilot, in the crash of a small airplane in southwestern Minnesota were visiting relatives and wanted to take a plane ride before returning home. Fifty-nine-year-old Steven Christiansen was giving the teens a ride in his homebuilt plane on Monday night when it crashed into a cornfield near Holland in Pipestone County and killed all three.
