COLD SPRING - An Oklahoma City man is facing charges after he allegedly fled from a deputy. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says the incident started just after midnight this (Thursday) morning on County Road 2, near Dairy Hill Road.

The deputy spotted a pickup speeding at about 70 miles an hour. The driver of the truck refused to stop, and was followed for almost five miles. When the truck slowed for a stop sign, the deputy executed a PIT maneuver ending the chase.

The Cold Spring Police Department assisted with the chase.

Thirty-three-year-old Daniel Yahola was taken into custody. He did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and could not give a reason for not stopping. He's facing charges of fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, and speeding.
