ST. CLOUD - Women experiencing high-risk pregnancies or premature births, and their families, have a new ally in central Minnesota.

St. Cloud Hospital will roll out their new Family Birthing Center tomorrow.

St. Cloud Hospital says the most common admission they see year over year is for labor and delivery, with about 10% of birthing patients experiencing some kind of complication during delivery.

Bearing this in mind, the facility will offer two state-of-the-art operating rooms for emergency c-sections, adjacent to the delivery area.

Moreover, family members haven't been forgotten in the design. Fathers, siblings and other loved ones can take advantage of river-view family rooms, with private bathrooms and convertible sofas for overnight stays.

The hospital says the goal is to offer a "healing environment that includes the whole family."
