MINNEAPOLIS - The Minneapolis NAACP is calling on the Mall of America to fire security guards involved in restraining a teenage girl.

A video has surfaced showing officers restraining the 14-year-old. The video shows the girl lying face-down on the floor screaming as one officer holds her down.

According to Minneapolis NAACP, the incident took place Dec. 26 when mall security approached the girl for being unaccompanied by an adult. The group says officers then told her to leave and she walked around the train station asking for change for $20 bill.

The Minneapolis NAACP says the girl suffered injuries. The organization wants a public apology.

The mall says it cannot comment but says its security officers "are highly trained and consistently perform in a professional manner."
