Melrose Couple Rescued From River After Crash In Northern Minnesota

OTTER TAIL COUNTY -- A Melrose couple was hurt after their vehicle drove off the road, and into a river,  this afternoon (Monday) on Interstate 94 in Otter Tail County.

The crash happened at about 12:00 p.m.

Deputies say 83-year-old Victor Tschida, of Melrose, was driving East on Interstate 94, when he fell asleep and drove off the road into the Otter Tail River near Fergus Falls.

Tschida suffered non-life threatening injuries.

His passenger, 79-year-old Beatrice Tschida, also suffered non-life threatening injuries.
