Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell for Marcella Marie “Marcy” Traut, age 81, of Sartell who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at her home with her family by her side. Reverend Timothy Baltes will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday and after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the St. Francis Xavier Gathering Space in Sartell. Parish Prayers will be held at 4:00 p.m. immediately followed by the Christian Women on Monday at the church in Sartell. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home in Sartell.

Marcy was born on October 4, 1933 in St. Cloud to Fred and Loretta (Theisen) Bidinger. She married Marvin B. Traut on September 5, 1955 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Marvin and Marcy raised their family together in Sartell. Marcy was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Christian Women, St. Monica’s Mission Group, Daughters of Isabella, St. Anthony’s Mission Group, and Catholic United Financial.

Marcy enjoyed quilting, playing cards, bowling and volunteering. She was very active in the Parish of St. Francis Xavier. Marcy’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. Although Marcy had eight children, she was a mother to many more.

Marcy is survived by her children, Barb (Peter) Omann of St. Stephen, Steven (fiancée Debi Huls) of Alexandria, Myron (Yvette) of St. Joseph, Mark of Sartell, Beverly Hyndman of Sartell, Lyle of Sartell, and Julie Victor of Sartell; 21 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Eugene (Darlene) of Sartell, Robert (Vi) of Sartell, and MaryAnn (Ken) Pietron of Sartell; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2000; daughter, Ann in 1984; son-in-law, Dan Hyndman 2011; Mark’s fiancée, Lisa Pearson in 2006; and sister, LaVerne Kruchten in 2006.

A Special Thank You to the Staff at St. Cloud Hospital Hospice for the care given to Marcy during her illness with pancreatic cancer.
