Man Tased, Arrested After Alleged Attack at Hospital

ST. CLOUD – A man was tased and arrested after allegedly attacking 6 people, leaving 2 of them with serious injuries.

St. Cloud Police say they were called to St. Cloud Hospital yesterday (Tuesday) just before 8:00 a.m. regarding a violent patient.

An investigation revealed 28 year-old Matthew Sanders of St. Cloud had assaulted a hospital security guard, 4 hospital care staff and one patient before being tased by hospital security.

Some of the injuries include cracked and broken teeth, and others required stitches.

Sanders was taken to Stearns County jail where he is being held on four counts of 5th degree assault, and 2 counts of 3rd degree assault.
