Man Dies in Fall From 3rd Floor Window

COLUMBIA HEIGHTS, Minn. (AP) - Authorities say a man has died in a fall from a third-floor apartment window in Columbia Heights.

Officers and paramedics responded to a 911 call Friday about 3 a.m. and found the 44-year-old Northfield man outside the apartment building on the ground. Police say the man died as a result of injuries he suffered in the fall.

Anoka County Cmdr. Paul Sommer says there's a possibility that some drug use was involved in the fall. Sommer says two witnesses told investigators the man simply fell through the window screen.
