St. Joseph recognized a four-year-old girl who they say saved an apartment from being burned down.The incident happened back on February 24th. St. Joseph Police Chief Joel Klein says a grease fire started in the apartment with 4-year-old ShyAnn Jamison inside.
The Cold Spring-Richmond Police department saw a slight increase in calls and recorded traffic stops last year. The department responded to 5,189 calls for service or self-created incidents last year compared to 4,099 in 2013.
Kimball Area Public Schools were placed on a brief lockdown this morning (Thursday). Kimball Superintendent Jim Wagner says they received a call from the Stearns County Sheriff's Office just after 10:00 a.m. that police were looking for person with a gun in the area.
Minnesota Republican Senator John Pederson of St. Cloud says he has privacy concerns with police using body cameras. Supporters say the cameras would help keep police accountable and provide valuable evidence. However, some lawmakers are concerned about storage and privacy.
