Luverne A. Lahr, 78, St. Cloud

September 7, 1936 - December 1, 2014

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Luverne A. Lahr, age 78, of St. Cloud who passed away December 1, 2014 at the Sterling Park Health Care Center in Waite Park. Entombment will take place in the Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum in St. Cloud. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Luverne was born September 7, 1936 in Minneapolis, MN to Henry and Susan (Maselter) Doty. She married Anton “Tony” Lahr on April 17, 1971 at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. She worked for 45 years at Earl’s Bakery, which later became Ken’s Bakery in Sauk Rapids as a cake and cookie decorator. She was a member of St. Augustine’s Parish. She will be remembered for her love of dancing, gardening vegetables and visiting with family and friends.

Luverne is survived by her sister Patty Jaclyn-Doty of St. Cloud, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Tony (2007), brothers Richard and Leonard Doty and sister Joanne Lopez.

Luverne’s family would like to thank St. Cloud Hospital Hospice and Mary Jo from St. Augustine’s for the care and visits.
