Lorraine M. Hondl, 88, St. Cloud

December 5, 1927 - November 12, 2016

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Lorraine M. Hondl, 88, of St. Cloud will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Lorraine passed away peacefully with her loving husband by her side on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at St. Benedict’s Center. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Entombment will be in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum, St. Cloud.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Lorraine was born on December 5, 1927 in St. Cloud to Andrew and Sarah (Kornovich) Schmidt. She graduated from Tech High School and was united in marriage to Carl P. Hondl on September 24, 1949 at St. Mary’s Cathedral. She lived all of her life in St. Cloud, raising two children. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Parish and Christian Women.

Lorraine is survived by her husband of 67 years, Carl; children, Nancy (Garey) Hedlund of Minneapolis, Mark (Judy) of Sauk Rapids; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Donald (Darlene) Schmidt and Edward (Patty) Schmidt; and sister, Mary Lou Randall.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials are preferred to St. Croix Hospice.
