Lorraine A. Haus, 92, St. Cloud

August 4, 1923 - January 15, 2016

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Lorraine A. Haus, age 92, of St. Cloud who passed away peacefully on Friday, January 15, 2016 at her home. Reverend Anthony Oelrich will officiate. Burial will take place in Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Church. Parish prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Lorraine was born on August 4, 1923 in Marty, Minnesota to Peter and Marcella (Becker) Kruchten. She married Severin P. Haus on September 23, 1943 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Marty. Lorriane was a wife, mother and homemaker the majority of her life. She was a member of St. Augustine’s Catholic Church and Christian Women.

She enjoyed playing cards, jig saw puzzles, and trips to the casino. Lorraine was a women of strong faith, and worked the beads (prayed the rosary) often. She especially treasured all the time spent with her family.

Lorraine is survived by her husband; children: El (Therse) of St. Cloud, Don (Judy) of Clear Lake, Elaine (Duane) Schultz of Sauk Rapids, Mary (Jay) Wakeman of St. Cloud, Mike (Cindy) of Prior Lake, Rick (Joan) of St. Cloud, Amy (Gary) Schleicher of St. Joseph; daughter-in-law, Nettie; grandchildren: Lori (Ed), Karla (Jeff), Terry (Buff), Deanna (Mike), Darren (Angie), Danielle (Brad), Jeff (Brenda), Jodi (Kurt), Dan (Sheri), Eric (Cynthia), Ryan (Angela), Derek (Kristina), Amber, Brett, Jessica, Brandon, Travis, Kirsten, Adam; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers, Marvin (Sandy) of Becker, Virgil (Carol) of St. Cloud; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Jerome; infant brother, Peter; brothers, Roger, Elmer, and LeRoy; and sister, Ethel Leither.
