UNDATED - Some Memorial Day events planned for this weekend:

More than 1,200 people are expected to gather at the State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls for the annual Memorial Day service.  Music will begin at 1:30 p.m., and the traditional Parade of Flags and formal program starts at 2:00 p.m. The event it open to everyone.

The St. Cloud VA Health Care System hosts their annual Memorial Day event on Monday.  A parade will be held at 10:30 a.m., with an outdoor ceremony at 11:00 a.m. This year's speaker will be Lieutenant Colonel Jeff Howe of the Minnesota National Guard.  Howe is also a State Representative from Rockville.  If you go, you're encouraged to bring a lawn chair.

Metro Vets and the St. Cloud VA encourage everyone to participate in the National Moment of Remembrance.  All Americans are asked to pause for one minute at 3:00 p.m. on Memorial Day, to honor those who have died in their nation's defense.
