Les L. Lommel, 69, Sartell

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 18, 2015 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell for Les L. Lommel, age 69 of Sartell who passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Timothy Baltes will officiate. Entombment will take place at the Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and one hour prior to the services at the church in Sartell. Parish prayers will be 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Les was born April 11, 1946 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Roman and Cecelia (Henkel) Lommel. Les married Maryann D. Koshenina on July 8, 1988 in St. Cloud. He owned and operated L&L Office Products in Sartell for many years and later Les was employed by Fingerhut and St. Benedict’s Senior Community. He retired in 2003. Les was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish.

Les enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports and especially gardening.

Les is survived by his daughters, Tora (Kirby) Hyndman of Champagne, Illinois, Tracy Lommel of St. Cloud, Patty Elyea of St. Cloud; sons, Ken Barthel of Cold Spring, Kevin (Steph) Barthel of Peoria, Arizona, Doug Barthel of Kimball; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Al (Gladys) of St. Joseph and Michael (Jeanne) of St. Cloud; sister, Barb (Bud Stimmler) Hartkopf of Clear Lake.

Les was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maryann on November 26, 2005.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
