Judith “Judy” Christen, 67, Richmond

November 23, 1949 - June 4, 2017

A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church (23845 Co. Rd. 40, Albany) for Judith “Judy” Christen, age 67, who died Sunday at St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by family. Burial will be in Immanuel Cemetery.

A gathering of relatives and friends will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the Wenner Funeral Home, Richmond. Church prayers will be at 7:45 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday morning from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Judy was born in St. Cloud, MN to Bernard “Barney” and Monica (Symanietz) Prow. She met the love of her life on July 23, 1967 on a blind date and spent hours dancing in an outdoor theatre. This marks their “meetsaversary” which they were sure to celebrate every year. They married on October 4, 1968 in Redeemer Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Judy worked at Coon Rapids Medical Center for 20 years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and garage sales. Judy loved entertaining and spending time with family.

Survivors include her husband, Delbert “Del” Christen; children, Ronette (Bob) Miller, Russell Christen; siblings, Richard Prow, Bernadine Prow, Ramona Boisvert, Urban Frank, Rita Nelson, Marcel Frank, Linda Kunkel; grandchildren, Stephen (Libby) Miller, Reed Delbert Miller, and Hailie Christen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Joanne Calabrese and Ronald Prow.
