Jeanette (Ackerson) Fornshell, Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, 89 of Pillager passed away to heaven on October 20, 2014 at Bethany Good Samaritan in Brainerd. Services for Jeanette will be at 4:00PM, Thursday, October 23rd at the First Lutheran Church in Pillager with Pastor Hector Merced officiating. Friends are welcome to gather Wednesday, October 22nd from 5:00 – 7:00 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at the Wildwood Cemetery in Pillager.
Jeanette was born on Veterans Day, November 11, 1924 to Edward & Sarah (Jenkins) Ackerson in Lake Crystal, MN. After moving to the Pillager area at the age of 10, she married the love of her life, Curtis Fornshell on July 30, 1944 and to this union three daughters, Eileen, Wanda & Penny were born. Together they ran a bus service for the Pillager School for 30 years. She was a housekeeper for 30 years at Madden’s Resort in Brainerd. Curtis died in 1985 and she remained in her home for 66 years before moving to Bethany. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Pillager. She loved gardening, cooking, playing pool, visiting friends, spending winters down south and spending precious time with family.
Jeanette will be sadly missed by her children, Eileen (Douglas) Spilman, Wanda (Gary) Beimert, Pillager, Penny (Brian) Stumvoll, Nisswa; Grandsons Larry (Lisa) Beimert, Brent (Tasha Cestnik) Beimert, Pillager, Rori Stumvoll (Katie), Nisswa, Aron (Samantha) Stumvoll, Lima, Peru & Kelly Spilman; Pillager, great-grandchildren Adam (Shanley Kowalski), Nicolas, Brittany (Anthony Kelley) & Halle Beimert; great-great-grandchildren Braelyn, Jaxson & A’Mya, sister Edith Pietz; sister-in-laws Viola Ackerson, Betty Farber and Lorraine Fornshell.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis of 41 years, her parents, grandsons Chad & Kevin Spilman, siblings Grace, Pearl, Jack and Jess, special friend Vernon Wilson and many extended family members. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
