Joy Lynn Havrilak-Lucas, 42, Elk River

Joy Lynn Havrilak-Lucas, 42, of Elk River, MN died unexpectedly on her 23rd wedding anniversary at her home. Funeral services for Joy will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Lincoln Evangelical Free Church 1354 320th Street Cushing, MN at 11:00AM with Pastor Dan Crocker officiating. Visitation will be held at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 5:00-8:00PM and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Interment will be at the Randall City Cemetery.

Joy was born on May 25, 1972 in Robbinsdale, MN to John (Jack) and Shirley (Newcomb) Havrilak. She graduated from St. Francis High School in St. Francis, MN. She was united into marriage on March 21, 1992 to Rob Lucas at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Francis. Joy graduated from flight attendant school, working for Northwest Airlines as a flight attendant. She retired from Northwest Airlines as a Purser. Joy assisted in the flight of the first American Troops that were sent to Iraq. Joy owned and operated Permanent Cosmetics in Coon Rapids, MN specializing in permanent makeup. She loved spending time with family, the one’s we live, laugh, and love with. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends, reading, traveling, and being outdoors. Joy liked camping, being on the lake riding jet skis, and four wheeling.

Joy is survived by her husband of 23 years, Rob; children, Jonathon, Joston, Jacadi, Jase, and Jaxson Lucas all of Elk River, MN; parents, John (Jack) Shirley Havrilak of Randall, MN; sister, Jill (Harold) Havrilak-Schuldt of Coon Rapids, MN and their children, Jaclyn, Josh (Lynsy), John, and Jobie; brother, Jacky Havrilak Jr of Randall, MN; many more nieces and nephews; sister in laws, Cindy (Pat) Decker and children, and Terry (Mike) Petersen of St. Francis, MN; in laws, Lois (Don) Workman and Jim (Michelle) Lucas. Memorials are preferred. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall, MN.
