ST. CLOUD -- Some walked for support, others for family, but no matter the reason they all walked towards one goal at the St. Cloud MS Walk this (Sunday) morning.

Multiple Sclerosis is a disease of the central nervous system. Walk MS is a fundraiser that connects people living with Multiple Sclerosis and helps raise money to find a cure.

Walk MS Ambassador Angie Janni says the reason she decided to walk was for herself.

"I was diagnosed in May 2012, and after that it was just important to me to find a way to raise some funds and find a support network," says Janni.

Hundreds of people came out to Apollo High School, many in teams, to join an experience unlike any other.

"It is more fun to do it as a team where you get support from your friends and family and get to meet other people along the way as well," says Janni.

This is just one walk of many around the state and Upper Midwest this weekend. Janni says they hope to raise $70,000 at the St. Cloud walk to help support life-changing programs and cutting-edge research.

"Walk MS is hoping to raise about $2-million dollars at the St. Cloud Walk we are hoping to raise about $70,000," says Janni.

Janni says the walk is a great way to bond with others and continue to raise awareness about Multiple Sclerosis.
