High Temps Create Risks for Firefighters [AUDIO]
UNDATED - We're gearing up for a sizzling fourth of July week in central Minnesota. It's also likely to be a busy week for emergency personnel.
St. Cloud Fire Chief Bill Mund says it's crucial for firefighters to drink plenty of water and remain cool whenever possible - especially while in full uniform.
Mund says they keep plenty of water on hand at all times for the squad.
He reminds you to keep this in mind - on hot days, you can't do all the things outside you would normally do, so take it easy.
If you start to feel faint, or stop sweating, get cool and hydrated immediately.
