Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant To Close In Waite Park [AUDIO]

WAITE PARK -- Tomorrow Waite Park will say goodbye to a Mexican restaurant that has been in the community since 1999.

Guadalajara announced today that tomorrow will be their last day in business. They have sold the building to two business partners from Nebraska looking to open a Mexican restaurant called Hacienda Family Mexican Restaurant.

Guadalajara owner Bertha Alvarez says she wants to thank the community for their support over the years.

Alvarez and her husband Mario Alvarez have owned and managed the business together. They decided to close the Waite Park location because their children are no longer able to help operate the restaurant.

Alvarez say they plan to keep their second location in Rogers open. Guadalajara will be closing at 9:30 p.m. Thursday. Hacidenda Family Mexican Restuarant is set to open on Friday.
