Granite City Lumberjacks Blank North Stars 6-0

ST. CLOUD -- The Granite City Lumberjacks played well on both ends of the ice last night (Friday) as they shut out the Breezy Point North Stars 6-0.

The Lumberjacks and North Stars were scoreless going into the 2nd period but that quickly changed as the Lumberjacks put three goals in the net during the period.

Paul Kenney, Alek Groth and Jared Sprink recorded goals in the 2nd period.

The scoring would continue to go the home teams way as Luke Richardson, Blake Phenow and Blake Babineau contributed a goal each to give the Lumberjacks the 6-0 victory.

The Lumberjacks had 33 shots on goal compared to the North Stars 12.

The next home game is tonight (Saturday) against the Alexandria Blizzard at 7:30 p.m.
