The Granite City Lumberjacks had a pretty enjoyable weekend. Not only did they sweep their weekend beating both Willmar and Alexandria, but the team also went shopping for Toys for Tots Sunday morning. The money used was raised on Saturday night during a silent auction that took place during the Lumberjacks game against Alexandria.

The team raised $745 from the silent auction and that money was used on Sunday by members of the team to buy toys for Toys for Tots.

One of the items that got a lot of attention on Saturday night was an autographed team photo from last year's Calder Cup winning team. Other items that were included in the client auction were custom tumblers, gift certificates from local businesses, and some homemade items like tie blankets.

Last year the St. Cloud Toys for Tots program donated nearly 16,000 toys to nearly 3,000 children in the area, according to the St. Cloud Toys for Tots webpage.

You can head to the local Toys for Tots website, here, to donate money, donate a toy, or for those in need you can also request a toy.

For any other questions regarding the St. Cloud Toys for Tots program, you can email them at st.cloud.mn@toysfortots.org.
