False Alarm Sparks Lockdown at SCSU

Steven Wright

ST. CLOUD – Some tense moments this (Monday) morning at St. Cloud State University.

St. Cloud police were called to campus at about 7;45 a.m. for a report of a suspicious man who possibly had a weapon in his pocket.  The building where the man had been seen was put into lockdown for about 15 minutes until he was found.  The man is a student at SCSU, and it was determined the item in his pocket was not a weapon, but was a tool from an educational project.

No criminal charges will be filed.
