Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, March 19th at 12 Noon at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park for Eunice C. Ranweiler, age 97, of Sartell, formerly of Waite Park, who died on Wednesday at the Country Manor Health Care and Retirement Center in Sartell. Rev. Gerald Dalseth will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday between 4:00-8:00 PM at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph and on Saturday one hour prior to services at the Church.

Eunice was born January 25th, 1919 in Nicollet to Henry and Leocadia (Berger) Wentzlaff. She married Elmer F. Ranweiler on June 27th, 1944 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Nicollet. They farmed in the Gilman area until moving to Waite Park in 1981. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park and Christian Women, a former member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society. Eunice taught CCD many years and was a Eucharistic Minister to shut-ins.

Eunice was a rural school teacher, made thousands of rosaries for the missions, loved quilting, fishing, playing cards “Bang”, traveling, flowers and especially her flower gardens. She enjoyed baking cookies, and will especially be remembered for her homemade glazed donuts.

Eunice is survived by children, Mary Lou Sworski (John) St. Cloud, Ronald Ranweiler (Rose) Little River SC, Michael Ranweiler (Kathy) Brandon, Joseph Ranweiler (Liz) St. Cloud, Kathy Juetten (Bob) Foley, Daniel Ranweiler (Deb) Clear Lake, Timothy Ranweiler (Carol) Foley, 29 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, sisters, Jinny Christle, Brainerd, Gerry Leonard, Nicollet, Shirley Peterson, Hudson WI and sister-in-law, Marivonne Wentzlaff, Yankton, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer, August 13th, 1992, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, sisters, Elsie Skarda, Dorothy Armstrong and infant sister Mary, brothers, Hank, Ed and Bob Wentzlaff.

To Tim and Sue Lentner, Mom’s very special friends, a huge thank you for your endless generosity and kindness over the last 5 years. Mom treasured every minute she spent with you.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at the Country Manor for the loving and special care given Eunice for the past 14 months.
