Elrosa Man Hurt in Rollover Crash

BELGRADE -- An Elrosa man is in critical condition after a one vehicle crash Saturday night. It happened at about 8:00 p.m. on Stearns County Road 13 north of Belgrade.

A witness called to report a Chevy Trailblazer had left the road, entered the ditch and rolled. The driver, 54-year-old Craig Schmidt, was ejected.

Authorities found Schmidt at the scene where he was in and out of consciousness. He was taken by ambulance to Sauk Centre Hospital, then airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital.

Authorities believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
