ST. CLOUD - A downtown St. Cloud tea shop now has a new name and ownership.

What used to be Willow Tea is now Spice of Life Tea at 820 West Saint Germain Street. Terri Emmerich is the new owner and says she jumped at the opportunity to own the shop after being active in area farmers markets.

"With a background of already having a line of herbal teas that I've blended over the past several years and culinary herbs too, it just seemed like a natural fit to come into this."

Spice of Life offers numerous teas by the cup or in bulk, coffee, herbs and spices. Emmerich says they emphasize local products and recently brought in bakery items and started pour over coffee.

"Something that we've added are baked goods, we have croissants today from Collegeville Artisan Bakery, which is always popular. We'll be bringing in baked goods from the Good Earth and eventually will do some of our own baking."

Spice of Life Tea is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. They will also be a venue for the upcoming downtown St. Cloud Art Crawl on June 12th.
