Darwin Man Seriously Hurt in Rollover, Alcohol Believed to be Factor

MEEKER COUNTY - A Darwin man is hurt after rolling his vehicle early Tuesday morning.

The incident happened just after 1:15 a.m. on County Road 14, near the intersection of 180th Street.

The Meeker County Sheriff's Office says 33-year-old Jason Schmidt of rural Darwin, was driving a pickup truck southbound on County Road 14, when the vehicle rolled. He was ejected from the truck and received significant injuries.

Schmidt was taken to Hutchinson Hospital and was later airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center.

The Sheriff's Office says alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
