Cyril Nordmann, 90, St. Martin

October 8, 1924 - March 6, 2015

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin, MN for Cyril Nordmann, age 90, who died Friday at the Mother of Mercy Nursing Home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the St Martin Parish Hall in St. Martin. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the St. Martin Parish Hall.

Cyril was born in St. Martin, Minnesota to Bernard and Emma (Derichs) Nordmann. He married Lorraine Hieserich on September 7, 1948 in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa, MN. Cyril and Lorraine farmed north of St. Martin for 40 plus years. He enjoyed woodworking, playing cards, playing the accordion, St. Martin Baseball and working with family and friends on the farm. Cyril was a member St. Martin Parish, St. Martin Lions, Catholic United Financial and St. Joseph Society.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; children, Diane (Gerald) Lang, Michael (Catherine) Nordmann, Dennis Nordmann, Gary (Linda) Nordmann, Mary Kay (Jim) Kotschevar, Linda (Jim) Varner, Nancy (Glen) Schellinger; siblings, Mildred Kulzer, Jerome Nordmann, Joe Nordmann; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Nordmann; siblings, Marcellus Nordmann and Marie Dingmann.
