ST. PAUL -- The city of Cold Spring and Stearns County will use grant money to help re-furbish some homes and businesses and make some utility repairs.

The money is from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. The money is to help Greater Minnesota communities with infrastructure improvements.

The city of Cold Spring will use nearly $312-thousand to replace a water main, storm sewer and make street repairs.

Stearns County is getting more than $501-thousand to rehabilitate 12 owner-occupied housing units and seven commercial properties in Cold Spring and St. Martin.

The money is part of a pool of $18.5-million given to 51 communities across outstate Minnesota.
